Logistics software-as-a-service (SaaS) startup ClickPost has raised $6 Mn (around INR 50 Cr) in its Series A funding round co-led by Inflexor Ventures Partners and Athera Venture Partners.

The round also saw participation from Riverwalk Holdings, along with existing investor Rebright Partners.

The startup plans to use the fresh capital to roll out new AI-driven modules, hire talent and expand its presence into existing markets.

“We believe the next few years will give rise to some generational companies in the Ecommerce enablement space. Indian SaaS companies have a tremendous opportunity to serve the high-growth Indian D2C brands benefiting from increased consumption in India, and then capture global enterprises with a ‘Build in India and Sell to the World’ strategy which continues to pay rich dividends for Indian SaaS companies,” said Naman Vijay, cofounder and CEO of ClickPost.

“Ecommerce is a space where vertical AI products will see a lot of adoption as brands look to grow more efficiently and compete with the likes of Amazon who have vast resources to provide a more data-driven experience to shoppers. This puts the onus on SaaS companies like us to provide solutions that keep brands at the forefront of innovation,” Vijay added.

Founded in 2017 by Vijay and Prashant Gupta, ClickPost is a logistics intelligence platform that helps online retailers improve their shipping experience.

Initially launched as a developer tool to assist engineers with courier application programming interface (API) integration, the Gurugram-based startup transitioned later into a holistic platform for brands, providing a range of services, from delivery dates in the pre-purchase journey, multi-carrier integration and tracking visibility to returns and exchange management, and omnichannel enablement.

ClickPost caters to over 300 clients across India, North America, APAC and the Middle East with its portfolio, including brands like Nykaa, Puma, Pepe Jeans, Acer, Supertails and others.

Currently, the company tracks over 1 Mn shipments each day and is looking for a fivefold growth in the next two years.

Notably, ClickPost operates in India’s crowded ecommerce logistics space, competing against the likes of Shiprocket, ShibBob, Holisol, Blowhorn and Unicommerce, among others.

Meanwhile, local logistics SaaS startups continue to attract investment. For instance, in March 2023, Gurugram-based logistics SaaS startup raised $3 Mn funding from Mountain Partners, and Indian Angels Network.

In September 2023, Mumbai-based logistics SaaS startup bagged $30 Mn in its Series B funding round led by the private equity firm Creaegis Advisors LLP.

The Indian e-logistics market grew sharply in FY23, with total shipments for e-commerce logistics rising to more than Bn. Homegrown e-commerce logistics space is expected to surpass 10 Bn parcels by FY28, according to a report by Redseer Strategy Consultants.
