ClearFeed, a conversational support platform for Slack, has raised $2.7 Mn in its seed funding round, led by Peak XV’s Surge. The funding round also saw participation from 8VC and other angel investors.

The fresh funds will be used to power ClearFeed’s next stage of growth across product development – with the launch of more product features – and its go-to-market teams in India, the startup said in a statement.

Founded in September 2021 by Ankit Jain, Joydeep Sen Sarma, and Lalit Indoria, Bengaluru-based ClearFeed offers a conversational support platform that leverages AI and deep integration with enterprise tools like Slack and Microsoft Teams to streamline customer and employee requests.

Different departments can interact with each other more seamlessly, while service teams are empowered with easy tracking and response capabilities using the platform.

ClearFeed said it has also recently introduced OpenAI’s GPT-4 to index product documentation, knowledge bases, and wikis, automatically generate answers in response to user queries, and assist agents in resolving user queries.

With customer service support and communication within organisations undergoing rapid transformation, particularly with the increased volume of conversations occurring on platforms like Slack daily, going through these conversations could be time-consuming. ClearFeed claims to simplify and streamline these interactions.

ClearFeed claims its revenue has grown 10X since early 2023 and its workforce has doubled in India. However, it did not disclose its financial numbers.

The platform is being used by over 100 organisations globally, including Last9, Atlan Data, Sprinto, and Plum Insurance, it said.

ClearFeed has aggressively ramped up its product features by introducing triage channels, one-click ticket filing, and live two-way syncing of data. It now seamlessly integrates with eight tools – Zendesk, Jira, FreshDesk, HubSpot, Github, Linear, Intercom and Salesforce.

Startups are increasingly leveraging the power of AI to build businesses. In the recent past, AI-focussed enterprise tech startup Portkey.ai raised $3 Mn led by Lightspeed. AI-focussed edtech startup Shaktimaan.ai also bagged $2 Mn in a seed funding round led by Y Combinator.

As per Inc42’s analysis, enterprisetech was the third-highest funded sector despite an overall funding winter hurting the startup ecosystem in H1 2023. The sector received $684 Mn in total funding during the period across 85 deals, which was a 75% and 52% drop year-on-year (YoY), respectively.
