Argentina based IT and Software Development company, Globant has acquired Pune-based product engineering startup Clarice Technologies for an amount close to $20-25 Mn ( approx. INR 125-160 Cr).
The deal was closed five days back and has been officially announced today. As per the company, it’s a complete acquisition with a transition phase of three years.
Founded in 2008, by Sandeep Chawda, Anup Mehta and Shashank Deshpande, Clarice Technologies is a software product development company specializing in User Experience Design & Web / Mobile development. Its customers include global product powerhouses and super-innovative startups across BFSI, Healthcare, Entertainment, Advertising, Social Media, ecommerce and High-tech.
The startups’ expertise lies in offering technology and design expertise for more than 125 clients across 20 domains and industries including IoT, SDX, Gamification and Analytics.
Clarice Technologies has partnered with their customers to design and develop more than 150 products on platforms like desktop, web, tablet, smartphones, and TV, using the latest technologies and frameworks.

Prior to this, the company had acquired San Francisco-based mobile solutions Development Company Nextive and Brazil-based Innovation and Knowledge Management Consulting, Digital Marketing & Social Media and Software Development Company TerraForum.
With its first acquisition in India, Globant will set up a delivery centre in the country. Currently, it has delivery centres across South America, and one in Vietnam.
