In one of the most shocking event, Housing.com’s co-founder Advitiya Sharma has been booked by the Mumbai police for rash driving which cost the life of one of his colleague. The incident took place around 1 AM, Friday night where Advitiya was driving back home alongwith with three of his colleagues Nilesh Wani, Kamlesh Mohpal (25) and Siddharth Bhandhari (25), who was declared dead on admission at the hospital.
After working late night at the office which is situated in Hiranandani Gardens in Powai, the four dropped their colleague Khushboo Thakkar in Mulund. The car was heading towards Powai on LBS Marg when it lost control, jumped the divider and crashed into a parked two-wheelers before crashing on to a roadside tree. A Motorists passing from the spot of incident informed the police about the incident.
While the 3 are currently been treated at the Mulund Fortis Hospital, Advitiya Sharma has been booked under the Indian Penal Code sections for 279 (rash driving), 304 (A) (causing death by negligence) and 338 (grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others). With this, he is also booked under the Motor Vehicle Act section 184 (driving dangerously).
Advitiya’s blood sample has also been taken to check whether he was drunk at the time of incident.
