Blinkit has launched a ‘Blinkit Seller Hub’ to help brands list on the quick commerce platform and start selling their products.
The hub will make selling via Blinkit “self-serve” for brands, without any need to interface with any intermediaries or with the platform, Blinkit chief technology officer Sajal Gupta said in a post on X.
“We believe we can serve the community of brands better by building tech that gives them more power and control over their quick commerce presence. Over 200 brands already have access to their Seller Hub and we are rolling out to more brands soon, after the required regulatory verifications,” Gupta wrote.
With this, the quick commerce platform is looking to emulate ecommerce giant Amazon. Gupta said that the company wants to “create a seller program in quick commerce which is significantly better than any other”. He added that the company’s benchmark has always been “the OG, Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA)”.
The service adds to the recent rollouts from Blinkit. For instance, the quick commerce major introduced a return option for categories like clothing and footwear in select cities like Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Pune.
Additionally, it recently launched a function that allows businesses to add goods and services tax identification number (GSTIN) while making purchases on the quick commerce platform.
The startup was also reported mulling to roll out a cafe feature to deliver snacks and beverages.
Notably, Blinkit has emerged as the growth driver for Zomato over the last few quarters. The quick commerce arm’s revenue witnessed a 2X jump to INR 1,156 Cr in the September quarter of the financial year 2024-25 (Q2 FY25) from INR 505 Cr in the year-ago period.
Blinkit plans to increase its dark store count to 2,000 by the end of FY26.
Meanwhile, Blinkit’s parent Zomato has increased its platform fee to INR 10 amid the ongoing festive season.
