Noida-based baby care brand Herby Angel has raised $2.5 Mn from JCBL Group in a maiden funding round.

Herby Angel will deploy the fresh proceeds to expand its distribution, product portfolio and research and development, as well as scaling up tech stack and marketing. 

Founded this year by Sherry Jairath, the brand manufactures nutraceutical and pharmaceutical ayurvedic products for babies. It aims to promote holistic healthcare solutions for babies and kids via products made with certified organic ingredients.

“This funding will support us in enabling our technology and help us innovate new products for our customers as well as help us sell in the international markets using JCBL Group’s strong business presence in these geographies. With this investment, Herby Angel is set to further accelerate its growth trajectory, offering products that uphold the highest standards of quality and sustainability,” said Jairath.

Herby claims to operate on an omnichannel basis through its website, other ecommerce platforms and offline retail. In the offline space, Herby has a presence across 13 states in 1,300 retail stores. Further, by the end of this financial year, it aims to enter 18 states and expand its retail operations to 2,000 stores. 

So far, the brand claims to have achieved INR 12 Cr monthly revenue, which it aims to pull up to INR 25 Cr by March 2024. 

In the baby care segment, recently, SuperBottoms raised $5 Mn to focus on category expansion and offline growth. It is looking at building a diverse portfolio that appeals to a wider audience. 

According to a study conducted by Statista, the Indian baby care market revenue amounts to more than $289 Mn in 2023 and is expected to grow at 3.15% CAGR by 2028.
