Why you should go for it?

    • Improved backlight – which Amazon says reduces eyestrain
    • Amazing Battery life – Can last up-to 8 weeks on one full charge on medium use.
    • Processor has also been upgraded – So there is a marginal improvement in speed.
    • Weighs just 206 grams

The latest software updates have brought with it features like:

1) Whispersync—It saves and synchronizes your last page read, bookmarks and annotations across all of your devices.

2) Time to Read—Tells you how much time it will take to finish a chapter or a book based on your personalized reading speed.

3) X-Ray– You can see all the sections in a book which mention places, people, characters and ideas. For example, if you tap and hold on a prominent character’s name, X-Ray will give you short bio explaining who they are and other background information.

Well while Amazon’s 6th generation Kindle Paperwhite is loaded with lucrative features, enough to lure readers though few of the add-ons would have made it an ultimate gadget for e-books freaks. Like asking for a headphone jack wouldn’t be too much, though reader is for reading and not listening, but today audio files be it music, podcast or anything else is an integral part and not a separate feature. Also on selecting the 3G enabled version price is hiked by Rs 3,000, option of using fast internet should not be that costly we think.

Purchases being limited to Amazon only may act painful sometimes as Amazon might have a vast collection of books at reasonable prices, but there is a chance that an obscure book you’re looking for won’t be there.

The Kindle Paperwhite is priced at Rs.10,999/-  and the New Kindle Paperwhite Wi-Fi + 3G is priced at Rs.13999/-
