In continuance of his support for new age technologies, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant has once again extended his support to the startups working in deep tech. This time, it’s AI (Artificial Intelligence) which has garnered the morale boost from Kant.

In a Twitter post, Amitabh Kant wrote, “Artificial Intelligence is the future. Delighted that a vast number of Indian startup entrepreneurs are scaling up in this emerging growth area. Some of them are Deep Learn Labs, Qure AI, Sigtuple, Edge Networks, Siversparro, Fluid AI & Huew. Wish them all the very best!”

However, this isn’t the first time Amitabh Kant has come out supporting the growth and innovation of these technologies.

During the 12th India Digital Summit, Amitabh Kant had said, “This is a period of huge technology disruption in India. Artificial Intelligence alone will generate the opportunity to the tune of $32 Bn. Advanced robotics are already handling 25% of the jobs. This will rise to 45% in the coming years.”

So, which are these AI-startups that NITI Aayog CEO took notice of? Check out here:

Deep Learn Labs: Hyderabad-based Deep Learn Labs provides solutions in building intelligent systems, both for analysis and decision making across multiple sectors.

Qure AI: Based in Mumbai, Qure.ai aims to leverage deep learning effectively to diagnose disease from radiology and pathology imaging, and create personalised cancer treatment plans from psychopathology imaging and genome sequences.

Sigtuple: Bengaluru-based medical tech startup SigTuple aims to create a data-driven, machine learned, cloud based solution for detection of abnormalities and trends in medical data, for disease diagnosis. The startup looks to revolutionise the global medical diagnostic space through data-driven intelligence.

Edge Networks: An Artificial Intelligence-driven HRTech solutions, Bengaluru-based EdGE Networks is leveraging data science and artificial intelligence to match people with jobs. The HRTech solutions facilitate talent acquisition, internal workforce optimisation and talent analytics.

Silversparro: Gurugram-based Silversparro offers an OCR (Optical Character Recognition) solution using deep learning technology. It allows businesses to automate their manual processes using AI. The startup specialises in providing solutions in automation and classification problems.

Fluid AI: Fluid AI believes that the power of artificial intelligence can be used across industries, sectors and use cases. The Mumbai-based team is working to bring about a future where its solutions redefine the landscape of what is possible using AI.

As the Indian government identifies the growing potential of new age technologies, it has allocated over $480 Mn under the government’s Digital India initiative in the Union Budget 2018.

The finance minister had announced that the government will be investing extensively in research, training and skill development in robotics, AI, digital manufacturing, Big Data intelligence and Quantum communications, among others.

As artificial intelligence continues to be a promising segment for growth, the disruptive AI startups are poised to grow more.
