6 Early Stage Startups That Caught Our Eyes At Huddle’s Young Founders Forum

Delhi-NCR based accelerator, Huddle organised the first-ever edition of its ‘Young Founders Forum’ on 11 March. It saw five multi-speaker panels touching upon aspects of early-stage entrepreneurship

Out of the 76 total applications received, only six startups were shortlisted. The shortlisted names include Tridex Bazaar, CricInShots, Metvy, Xoog, MyStream.in, and Exam Lounge

Delhi-NCR based accelerator, Huddle organised the first-ever edition of its Young Founders Forum on 11 March. The forum hosted five multi-speaker panels touching upon aspects of early-stage entrepreneurship. The panel discussions covered a wide range of topics including founder learnings, team-building challenges and techniques, creating an effective GTM strategy, investment guidance from VCs, and MVP building and scaling. 

AngelList India’s Jivraj Singh Sachar, Pepper Content’s Rishabh Shekhar, Onsurity’s Kulin Shah, Hubhopper’s Gautam Raj Anand, Shiprocket’s Vishesh Khurana, The New Shop’s Aastha Almast, Dr. Vaidya’s Arjun Vaidya were some of the speakers that were present in the sessions.

With the aim to support student-led startups, the forum also offered a platform for entrepreneurs from across the country to pitch their ideas and get an opportunity to raise funding. Out of the 76 total applications received, six startups were shortlisted — Tridex Bazaar, CricInShots, Metvy, Xoog, MyStream.in, and Exam Lounge. The selected startups pitched their ideas to the investors in a closed-door event where they had ten minutes for the pitch and five minutes for a Q&A session.

The jury members included Anicut Capital’ Dhruv Ranjan, We Founders Circle’s Neeraj Tyagi, Java Capital’s Bhargavi V, Seeders’ Abhishek Rungta, IAN’s Sandro Stephen, The Belgian Waffle Co’s Shrey Aggarwal, Campus Fund’s Anirudh Toshniwal, Antler India’s Vineet Agarwal, and Eximius Ventures’ Pearl Agarwal.

Tridex Bazaar

  • Founded In: 2019

Tridex Bazaar is a B2B cloud-based sales and distribution platform. The supply chain aggregator connects FMCG companies with kiranas/retailers. This allows them access to markets using existing infrastructure, without a heavy investment in stock, warehousing and logistics. The startup offers services such as last-mile delivery and warehouse solutions to primary and secondary FMCG companies.

Its clients include Nestle, Bikano, Parle, Suruchi and Veeta Day. Tridex Bazaar claims to have delivered over 10K orders with an ARR of more than INR 6.5 Cr and over INR 4 Cr in sales since Jan 2021.


CricInShots

An online gaming startup, CricInShots is a blockchain cricket card collectable game platform. The players collect different player cards, skills and modifier cards to build their deck. They can also battle, trade and transact with other players using these cards in a virtual marketplace.


Metvy

  • Sector: Edtech

Metvy is an upskilling platform that offers mentorship programmes and cohort-based courses (CBCs) to its users. The startup targets people in the age group of 16-30 years. The users have the option to get a course certificate at an additional cost. The Delhi-based edtech platform claims to have enrolled more than 2K students on their app, registering over 50K downloads. Further, Metvy offers five programmes — Metvy Research Program, Metvy Design Program, Metvy AI Bootcamp, Metvy Consultancy Program, and the Metvy Business Program.

In December 2021, Metvy raised an undisclosed amount from HostelFund.


Xoog

Xoog is a gamified reward-based platform where children participate in competitions and

workshops focussed on extracurricular skills such as Rubik’s, coding, quizzes, art, drawing, dancing, and singing. The rewards earned by participating in the events can be used to purchase products from their in-app shop, get a scholarship on courses from other edtech providers, or for cashback. Xoog claims to have onboarded over 2K students on its platform, out of which, more than 400 students are paying for the premium membership.


MyStream.in

  • Headquarters: Delhi
  • Sector: SaaS

Started in 2020, MyStream.in is an event tech startup that provides end-to-end solutions for event organisers. Through its platform, event organisers can create, manage, collect payments, accept gamified donations, and analyse a number of events as well. The startup claims to have more than 1,250 paid users.


Exam Lounge

  • Headquarters: Bengaluru
  • Sector: Edtech

The Bengaluru-based startup offers a platform to students where they can compete with other aspirants in mock tests of competitive exams such as SSC, Railways, CAT, IBPS, XAT among others. The edtech platform provides AI/ML-based learning solutions to its users. This includes an AI automated initial assessment test and an AI-based predictive analysis of the students’ performance. The startup claims to have more than 10K users till date.
