500 Startups Announces Its 10th Batch With 28 Startups

Silicon Valley based Startup Accelerator 500 Startups has announced its tenth batch with over 28 startups. Out of the selected startups, 11 of the 28 startups (39%) have at least one woman in the founding team and 18 of 28 (64%) have at least one foreign‐born founder.

The selected startups include 4 from the Bay Area, and rest of the teams are from rest of the world including LA, NYC, Canada, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East.

Out of the total, 10 of the startups in this batch haven’t raised any money before joining the accelerator, and 24 of the startups are already generating revenue.

Here is the complete list of the selected startups:

CareLuLu – A marketplace where parents can find licensed daycares and preschools.

Cream – It brings a true shopping experience to you via your mobile phone. Get the best of the breakthrough designers and brands right at your fingertips.

Feesheh – An online store for musical instruments for the Arab world.

Gallery AlSharq – It is a provider of exclusive Middle Eastern stock photography images and digital content and editorials segmented into multiple, unique categories and sourced from reputable experienced photographers from across the region.

Givesurance – It is a recurring funding platform for charities

Gymtrack – It builds smart systems for gym equipment that can automatically measure workout progress and provide virtual personal training.

LendSquare – It helps to lend money to small businesses in your neighborhood and get paid back with interest and perks.

Mind My Business – It lets brick and mortars know what’s happening outside and around their store, and their risks for fines.

Monkimun – It designs fun language educational games for kids 2­-8 years old.

myTips – It is Optimizely for customer activation. Build, A/B test and analyze user onboarding experiences without coding.

NakedRoom – It handles selling, donating, and discarding unwanted household goods.

ProductBio – It has built a database that makes shopping and reporting easy and affordable for organizations that have to or want to be sustainable.

Promolta – It helps music videos get seen through a targeted network of online publishers.

Rain – It is an app that helps small businesses effectively reach local customers by making mobile, local marketing easy and affordable. I

Revivn – It repurposes used enterprise hardware for underserved markets around the world.

Rover – It’s iBeacon platform helps retailers deliver a better customer experience by transforming their mobile apps into in‐store shopping companions.

Shakr –  It makes high quality video ads possible for small businesses.

Shopline – Its a DIY e‐commerce platform that allows non‐tech‐savvy merchants to launch and run self‐branded, online shops in minutes.

StudySoup – It is a peer‐to‐peer learning marketplace for college students.

TrustCloud – It provides identity verification and background checks as a service for marketplaces.

Uguru – The marketplace for peer‐to‐peer tutoring on college campuses.

Uplette – It automates, consolidates, and optimizes the mobile advertising experience through the delivery of smart post‐ad content.

UXCam – Its a tool that allows companies to improve user experience

Vantage Sports – It is a technology company that offers premium sports content to enterprises, media, and fans based on its groundbreaking data platform.

WeDidIt – It helps nonprofits identify more fundraising opportunities from their existing networks by mining social and financial data on their donors.

Whim – It a dating service that arranges same-day curated dates.

YogaTrail – It provides yogis with detailed descriptions and yoga‐centric reviews of tens of thousands of yoga venues around the world.

ZoomForth – it helps to humanize professional communications
