The 5 Startups That Proved Their Mettle At StartupPulse Mumbai

Last week, we successfully concluded second edition of StartupPulse. After receiving more than 100 applications, we curated 10 startups who were provided with day long mentoring sessions led by domain experts from UI/UX, Marketing, Tech, Sales, Fundraising and Pitching.

Experts including, Aditi Avasthi of Embibe, Nitin Sharma of LightBox Ventures, Ankur Handa from Yahoo, Annkur Agarwal of Pricebaba, Kanchan Kumar, Abhijeet Kumar of Ah! Ventures, Vijay Khubchandani of MindSparx, Sudarsan Ravi of Ripplehire, Sumit Ranka of Thinkpot among others provided one on one sessions to all these 10 selected startups.

“I am happy to see such promising startups get a very well deserved exposure to mentors and investors at Startup Pulse,” said Annkur Agarwal of Pricebaba.

Based on the mentor feedback and pitches, we shortlisted 5 startups who got an opportunity to pitch to group of angel investors next day at the LightBox office.

Angels including Ajeet Khurana of SINE, Avik Ashar of Hiraco, Mandar Gadkari of Cross Border Angels, Ashwin of Scaale, Dewang Naralla of Atom, Presha of Sol Primero, Suneel Bandhu, Tanmoy Roy of Finance For Fun attended the pitching event.

“One of the best startup events I have attended in a long time. Can’t wait for the next edition.” Exclaimed Ajeet Khurana of SINE.

“Had an opportunity to interact with some of the most innovative minds in the Indian start-up ecosystem. The Scaale Group looks forward to taking our discussions with some of the start ups presented,” said Ashwin Sanzgiri of Scaale.

DishKhoj

Founders: Akshay Gautam, Pranesh Suvarna, Goldie Kedia

Founded: Jan 2015

DishKhoj is a startup developed keeping in mind the food lovers who crave for something new everytime to tickle their tastebuds. So, all those who soon get bored due to the same tiny list of foods can use this app and never run out of options.

Canvazify

Founders: Abhijit Mhetre

Founded: Jan 2014

It often happens that a brainstorming session often proves futile and all those ideas which were luring at a moment went to the drain. To revive those potential ideas and save the time and labour Canvazify provides a collaborative innovation platform for teams. Best ideas click when they are least expected. It provides canvases to organize discussions, collect ideas so that they can be put to use.

BoxMySpace

Founders: Pratyush Jalan

Founded: Jan 2015

BoxMySpace is a startup that is innovating storage and warehousing. The startup is helpful for persons who wish to store their not-so-used goods, but don’t have enough space at home or garage. All the user needs to do is pack his/her belongings in a box and get in touch with the team. Be it your clothes or your lesser read books, they will store anything and everything.

InLoyal

Founders: Kunal Mehta

Founded: Jan 2014

Working on the same concept as that of digital wallets, Inloyal provides digital loyalty cards. Inloyal is helpful, both to the cuatomers as well as the retailers, as the user no longer needs to carry the cards with them and the retailers can have easy management due to digitalisation of the same.

Obino

Founders: Ritu Soni Srivastava

Founded: April 2014

If you are someone who is trying to stay away from unhealthy calories or trying to lose those extra inches of flab around your tummy, obino is the way to go. Obino is an app which helps users get in shape by providing nutrition, food information and other lifestyle modifications. The app has not only provides fitness tips from time to time but, also lets them log meals and exercise.
