The Junction 2017, Inc42’s first three days flagship conference is being held at the Fairmount Jaipur from January 12-14, 2017. The Junction is an invite-only gathering, which on the first day of the conference witnessed the presence of 300 entrepreneurs, corporates, investors and government officials.
One of the USPs of The Junction is the 42 Fellowship – a year-long fellowship programme for growing startups. This will provide networking opportunities to budding entrepreneurs and will help showcase their startup in front of corporates, investors, and government officials.
The programme aims to build a close-knit community of entrepreneurs and investors who can help each other and multiply their impact. It will not only provide recognition and support to the selected startups in the areas of fundraising, exploring new markets and customers, but will also help in strategic investments, overall business expansion in India & other network countries and will help enable peer to peer learning.
The fellowship programme aims to identify, qualify, connect, and empower founders of growing startups who are building scalable solutions to the world’s most complex problems. To this end, the Inc42 team will select and curate 42 of the most promising startups from India for the 42 Fellowship, starting 2017 to create a lifelong and valuable community of the smartest entrepreneurs.
One of the purposes of The Junction will be to identify these innovative, growing startups and bring them together. The Fellowship Showcase which was curated by Ajeet Khurana demonstrated sixty-second pitches of 22 startups to prove – traction, use case, and the USP that sets each startup apart.
Here Are The 22 Startups Who Pitched Their Business Models
Schoolkart: Founded by Nikhil Sareen, Schoolkart.com is a one-stop online shop for school uniforms, shoes, stationery, sporting goods, reference books and much more. The team at Schoolkart is motivated to build India’s largest and most trusted marketplace in the school products domain by working with some of the best schools, brands and sellers across the country.
3dexter: 3dexter is an education company bringing in experiential learning in schools using 3d printing as a tool. It has created a curriculum in sync with leading school boards highlighting more than 250 concepts which can be explained better using physical experience. It works on various soft skills like creativity, problem-solving, critical thinking and visualization and further help students to understand their subjects better. It’s vision is to give the power to the students to create whatever they are learning.
Vebbler: Vebbler is a photo-sharing app for groups designed to make sharing of photos easy between groups at night outs, vacations, and celebrations. While people frequently take photos together using different phones and cameras, the process of bringing together those photos is extremely cumbersome, and Vebbler promises to make that happen in one single-tap.
Applop: Applop is a Gurugram-based IT company, a NASSCOM 10K Portfolio company serving clients in over eight countries and supporting more than 37 languages. Applop is supported by industry leaders such as Microsoft BizSpark, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Trucaller, and Godaddy India.
Rubique: Rubique is an online marketplace for financial products offering a wide range of loan products and end- to-end loan fulfillment for individuals and MSMEs. With its technology solutions, the model is focussed on disbursement rather than mere lead generation allowing the customer to get the best deal in the quickest possible time while lowering the cost of customer acquisition for the financial institution.
DataCultr: DataCultr is a deep device analytics platform that captures every heartbeat of an Android device and then distills it to create actionable usage insights in the fields of connected devices, branding, advertising, market research and more by drawing on better data, better machine learning and better insights.
MIQASA: MiQasa is a home automation manufacturer based in India. It provides wireless, affordable smart home solutions called “QASA” Smart Switch Boards. The products are designed keeping in mind, Indian consumer.
Budli: Budli allows trading in used devices pre-owned gadgets conveniently and effortlessly for cash. The devices, like secondhand smartphones, tablets, iPods and laptops, go through its QC & Refurbishment restoration process and are then resold as refurbished devices.
Mobmerry: Mobmerry works with leading brands and retailers – helping them to drive store footfalls and sales through omni-channel customer engagement and sharp customer targeting. It has already created a strong impact with 100+ leading brands and 300+ retailers in Bangalore – solving their 2 biggest problems – customer walk-in and sales.
Geektree: Geektree has a team of thinkers, analysts and problem solvers with panache for software development. Its objective is to make its users, master of their data.
YumLane: Founded in 2016, by Hitesh Ahuja, Rahul Kumar, Rueben Ghosh; YumLane is India’s first Digital FMCG Food Brand offering hot snacks and meals boxes at retail stores near you. It is currently present in 150+ retail stores in Mumbai and has cumulatively sold 45,000 boxes and plans to leverage 9 million retail points for distribution. The Company has raised seed and Pre-Series A round in the last six months.
Pharmarack: Pharmarack is a SaaS-based application that creates impact across the value chain of the pharmaceutical Industry. This application is highly versatile, working on integration with billing software, CRM, marketing software or any other business support application.
Uber Diagnostics: Uber Diagnostics is a disruptive healthcare diagnostics company that is making healthcare delivery more efficient with Cardiotrack – the company’s flagship product. The mission of uber Diagnostics is to reduce the cost of diagnosis delivery by an order of magnitude through innovation in product design and enhancements in healthcare workflow.
Codemojo: Codemojo is an enterprise technology company started in 2014 and headquartered in Chennai, India. Codemojo solves critical customer engagement issues that are faced by small medium or large enterprises.
Sales Neuron: It is an intuitive, personalised, and affordable CRM to engage relationships, accelerate growth and transform business. It’s refreshingly new interface makes managing business easy and scalable.
Wigzo: Wigzo’s solutions help its users to create personalised experiences across all customer touch points from a single, integrated digital marketing platform.
Darwinbox: Darwinbox is a HR Technology and Analytics company founded by IIT / IIM / XLRI alumnus. Bykup: Bykup platform enables socially verified bikers & riders to share the city commute on demand, saving time and money.
VideoTap: VideoTap is a consumer-focussed digital company, founded to leverage the changes happening in the technology and media landscape.
DocsApp: DocsApp is a mobile platform where people from India can consult a specialist MD Doctors within 30 minutes in various specialisations through chat or call from the location of their convenience.
Repup: Repup is a platform which helps hotelliers make sense of online review data. RepUp compiles reviews into one single dashboard by using semantic technology to create reports based on big review data to help its users make insightful business decisions at a glance.
The year-long programme for startups will ensure that these founders will get a deep dive into the ins and outs of entrepreneurship that began with showcasing their pitch to interested VCs and fellow founders.
