Here’s Why Founder Vs Investors Is A Never-Ending Struggle

In every startup, there is a race to hit the reset button during a crisis. The reset button here refers to a change in top-level management, either through the investor's persuation or the founder's will.

Founder exit announcements are often put out as the founder looking for new ventures or new challenges, but investors think otherwise.

Investors believe that it’s nearly always the case of the business outgrowing its leadership and needing new direction or a professional CEO outside of the founders.

According to a Delhi-based early-stage investor, founders should never feel irreplaceable, and this goes for both startups and investment firms.

In mature startups, specialists, not founders, should take center stage, he added.

In most cases, founders reach the reset button before they begin to feel the heat, while some are more than happy to leave to build new ventures.

These second-time entrepreneurs often turn to the investors they know when starting up again, which kickstarts the cycle yet again.
