Actor Akshay Kumar, former cricketer Virender Sehwag, and other unspecified investors have invested an undisclosed amount in agritech startup Two Brothers Organic Farm (TBOF) during a Pre-Series A funding round.
The funding will be used for domestic and global expansion, increasing manufacturing capacity, and providing training facilities for farmers associated with the startup.
Founded in 2012 by Ajinkya Hange and Satyajit Hange, TBOF focuses on organic farming and aims to improve the lives of rural farmers and communities in India.
The Hange brothers have trained over 16,000 farmers in sustainable farming and launched initiatives to raise awareness about organic farming.
The startup's funding comes amidst a growing preference for organic products and increased investment in the sector, with other agritech startups such as INI Farms and Eggoz recently securing significant funding.
