After the launch of Reliance Jio’s video-conferencing platform Jio Meet, another telecom operator, Bharti Airtel, is planning to make a foray into the segment. The company is planning to launch its unified video-conferencing tool for enterprises.
“We are close to launching several enterprise-grade products including a unified video conferencing tool very shortly,” a source close to the development told Economic Times. While the plan initially is to launch the product for enterprises, Airtel might offer it to regular customers based on user-engagement and feedback.
The video-conferencing space in India is led by the likes of Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meets and now Jio Meet. Airtel’s upcoming video-conferencing app is expected to be different from the existing apps.
