About Vishal Gondal
Early bird catches the worm, and Vishal’s story is a testament to that. He started his entrepreneurial journey at the age of 16, by finding IndiaGames. Took it to amazing heights, and eventually sold it to Walt Disney in 2012 for $100M.
Soon after in 2013, he founded GOQii, a one on one mobile coaching and fitness tracking service. The idea was to develop a device and share the collected data with a trainer for personalised advice. GOQii along with Titan and Xiaomi ruled the overall wearables market in India for Q2 of 2018.
He is a notable and an offbeat Angel Investor who is truly making a dent by funding the startups from Tier II & III cities rather than just focusing on the metropolitans. And he goes a step further by enabling startups from smaller towns so they can compete with companies at a global level.
Vishal has many accolades to his name, from “Top 40 Indian entrepreneurs” by Business Today (2001), “20 Fab Indians to watch out for in 2006” by The Week magazine to getting nominated for Indian Entrepreneur of the year award by E&Y (2004 & 2005).
