On the 2nd day of the\u00a0ongoing GES 2017 (Global Entrepreneurship Summit), on-demand ridesharing platform Uber today announced the names of 10 Indian startups as UberEXCHANGE winners. Under the UberEXCHANGE programme, the startups will be awarded an all-expense-paid trip to San Francisco, Uber\u2019s headquarter. The founders will also get an opportunity to meet potential investors as well as Uber\u2019s executive leadership team.\r\n\r\nLast year, Uber had launched UberEXCHANGE, a startup mentorship programme in partnership with Invest India. Besides, 10 startups shortlisted for UberEXCHANGE, in the GIST Catalyst pitch competition, 24 startups out of 75 have now made to the semifinals at GES 2017. The startups are competing for $400K prize money and an opportunity to pitch and showcase their startup. There are six semifinalists for each of the four focus industries, which are healthcare and life sciences, digital economy and financial technology, energy and infrastructure and media and entertainment.
