Last week, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, and Government of Goa hosted the annual \u2018Startup India Venture Capital Summit\u2019. \r\n\r\nThe summit which revolved around the theme \u2018Mobilizing Global Capital for Innovation in India,\u2019 witnessed participation from countries such as Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, and the US.\r\n\r\nDuring the event, the government and VC fund managers held discussions on how to develop the startup ecosystem.\r\n\r\nFinland-based student-run non-profit organisation Slush hosted Slush 2018. Mark your calendars!\r\nThe India-UK FutureTech Festival\r\n\r\nThe India and UK government together will be organising The India-UK FutureTech Festival this week as an initiative under the India-UK Technology partnership.\r\n\r\nThe event will provide a platform for roundtable discussions and opportunities for collaboration at the national and regional level in artificial intelligence (AI)\/ data, India UK tech hubs, cluster partnerships, future healthcare, future mobility, fintech and cyber security.\r\n\r\nThe event was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his UK counterpart Theresa May in April. During the event, speakers will be discussing upcoming technologies, innovations in agricultural space, opportunities and future across fintech, healthtech etc.\r\n\r\nDate: December 11-12, 2018\r\n\r\nVenue: Hotel Imperial, New Delhi\r\nGSF Techtales and Cocktails: Disruption in FinTech\r\n\r\nStartup accelerator and early-stage fund Global Super Angels Forum (GSF) is organising GSF Techtales and Cocktails: Disruption in Fintech this week.\r\n\r\nThe event will be aimed at understanding the advancements, innovations and opportunities in fintech.\r\n\r\nTwo panel discussions will take place during the event, which will see participation from founders and investors.
