Mumbai-based MeraDoctor, a platform for virtual consultations between doctors and patients, has raised INR 7 Cr in pre series A round of funding led by Ronnie Screwvala\u2019s Unilazer Ventures.\r\n\r\nIts existing investor IndiaQuotient also participated in the round.\r\n\r\nWith the newly raised capital, the startup will extend its technology platform, scale its doctorbase, increase its technology and management teams.\r\n\r\nFounded by Gautam Ivatury and Dr. Ajay Nair in 2010, MeraDoctor is a platform for virtual consultations between doctors and patients. The startup is a doctor-led platform that connects patients with reputable physicians only. It allows patients like expecting and young mothers with infants, families in hard-to-reach areas, people suffering from chronic diseases, to chat live and consult with a healthcare physician.\r\n\r\nMeraDoctor claims to have helped over 300,000 people to connect with doctors across 11 states in India. This includes connecting people from over 1,000 locations across the country with carefully screened doctors for live and real-time consultations.
