Funding

Funding refers to providing money or any other financial resources in form of effort or time. It can be provided by an investor, organisation or government. In terms of startups, it refers to external financial support provided by an individual i.e. angel investor, Venture Capital, Private Equity Fund, or the government in exchange for equity/shares. Then there are donations and grants which are also a form of funding for which a startup or company is not committed to repaying. Another form of it is crowdfunding, in this type of financial help, a company aka startups takes money from several individuals or organisations. Usually, these fundings are being raised by a company or a startup to jumpstart or expand or to kickstart a business or loans. It can be raised for a long term or a short term purpose or goals....
