Transportation aggregator, Ola, plans to expand the fleet of CNG cars on its platform over the next six months. For this, the company will be spending $30 Mn (INR 200 Cr) for adopting CNG cabs in Delhi-NCR.\r\n\r\nThe move came after Delhi High Court, on Tuesday, directed Ola, Uber and radio taxis\u2019 association to give details, including registration numbers, of those cabs which they intend to phase out by March 31 as per the Supreme Court\u2019s order.\r\n\r\nOla already has more than 20,000 CNG cars and plans to expand with over 5000 cabs on its platform in the Delhi-NCR region, as this route comprises of a significant portion for the company.\r\n\r\nOla COO Pranay Jivrajka told PTI that the company is planning to expand its fleet in the next one week. It has brought together car manufacturers, banks & financiers and valuation platforms to enable heavy discounts, loan offers, and on spot valuation and exchange.\r\n\r\nOla has announced a five-day camp at Gurgaon named Ola Pragati Mahotsav, where it is inviting driver partners, across Delhi and NCR, to exchange their existing Diesel vehicles for new CNG vehicles and avail benefits of up to INR 1,50,000. It has also offered to pay off first two EMIs for those who go for new CNG vehicles.
