Yesterday we announced the final 14 startups selected from over 50+ applications. These 14 went through day long session from the industry experts from different domains of Design (UI/UX), Sales/Marketing, Technology, Product Management which included Nav Chatterji, Ritesh Malik, Utsav Somani and Amit Mishra among other. Later in evening jury consisting of Shailesh Vikram Singh and Ritesh announced the final 5 startups.
Final five startups will get chance to be part of pulse42 party consisting of 150+ who’s of the industry. To those who don’t know about recent developments here’s a snippet.
5 startups namely StrollUp, Eckovation, Tap&Eat, Apprix and Hostpost made it to the finals.
Being a college goer I often encounter a dead end where I literally run out of places and resort to going to places I have already been to. StrollUp is here to change the scenario. The site is curated with different activities to do and places to visit. For instance if someone writes I want to watch a movie with burger, the site then uses its algorithm to provide a list of combinations. It also takes into consideration user’s preferences and budget constraints( if any). It’s like wolfram alpha for outing.
Managing a large number of people is not a walk on cake as it can be extremely strenuous when done incorrectly. The situation gets worse if children are to be managed. To ameliorate the situation Eckovation has come up with a product ‘Pathshala’ which is a cloud based app to reduces the amount of load on school management. The app lets management keep record of students, their results, attendance and provides a medium to send them information to parents and students.
The Snickers’ ad which says “Hunger Changes Everyone” is perfectly apt as waiting in long queues is annoying in itself and if you are famished it can make you peevish. Tap&eat eliminates the need to wait in a queue. It enables users to cut across long queues at restaurants and bars and eliminate any waiting time for services and thus enhances their overall experience.
Games are a decent way to kill time but they can be repetitive and boring if nothing new pops up or if user finds it unproductive. Analysing this growing trend Appprix has come up with an idea to make games rewarding and exciting. The startup host tournaments and brings a multiplayer element on board to otherwise single player games. Doing so makes a game engaging, interesting and rewarding. After all, who wouldn’t get rewarded for doing something he would do anyway.
Gone are the days when you had to provide your number in fear of being spammed by commercial messages. With Hostpost you will only get relevant offers.
