Companies can hold webinars, and conduct physically engaging activities like yoga remotely to connect people and ensure their wellbeing. Creating healthy competition in the form of games would ensure a healthy spirit within people. 

Using the latest technology like AI-enabled programmes for infotainment, telemedicine, and 24/7 helpline for the health of employees comes with the digital era. A one-size-fits-all approach won’t work across diverse workforces in a rapidly changing world. Therefore, organisations need to customise their mental and physical health programmes.

Making Wellbeing A Culture

It is essential to create awareness regarding the importance of wellbeing with people. This can be done by normalising mental health, de-stigmatising it and making it accessible on a personal level to each employee. 

Engagement of employees could also be ensured by capturing stories of positive changes through such health-centric programmes and holding interactive talks about the wellbeing of people or relevant issues related to it. Emotional wellbeing if left unaddressed can prove detrimental hence it is very essential to make people comfortable talking about it.

Involving The Managers

Any great programme wouldn’t be a success without the entire collaboration of each member of the organisation from senior to junior. For this, people managers need to step up in the organisation. 

Managers can start by keeping a check on their team members by holding regular group calls and motivating their employees to strive. Having the senior leaders walk the talk when it comes to prioritising health and wellbeing creates the necessary precedent throughout the company.

Employee Centric Programmes

Following a bottom-up approach to wellness is the need of the hour instead of a top-bottom approach. This can be facilitated by taking regular feedback from the employees which would increase the programme’s success and ensure engagement. 

Inclusion of the family of the employees in these programmes, be it light-hearted games, comedy shows or yoga sessions, would ensure the employee’s wellbeing.

Creating A Better Job Satisfaction

Wellbeing risk is linked to how employees view their work and lives. Employees today face the threat of job security and long job hours in a fast-evolving world of work. The first step to ensuring job satisfaction is by providing job security and satisfaction. This moves beyond the realm of wellness programs. 

Another thing to keep in mind is giving liberty and enough space for innovation and encouraging them to work. Also, maintaining a clear line of communication to facilitate the employee whenever they face any issues either while working or otherwise is essential.
