Indian Tech Startup Funding Report Q1 2025

About the report
Indian startups began 2025 on a stronger note compared to the previous year, particularly in terms of venture capital investments. In Q1 2025, these startups secured over $3.1 Bn, marking a 41% increase from the first quarter of 2024. Additionally, Q1 2025 saw six mega deals, doubling the number from the same period last year. Ecommerce and fintech led the way as the most funded sectors this quarter, with much of the momentum fuelled by optimism surrounding application-layer AI technology, particularly in the realm of agents. In our Q1 2025 startup investor survey, agentic AI was identified as the top investment theme for the year.
