Summary

In terms of investment inflow into the Indian startup ecosystem in the first six months of 2019, it can be asserted that 2019 had a moderate start. However, in comparison to the median half-yearly funding ($5.01 Bn), (based on data for 2014-2018) the total funding in the first half of 2019 stood 16.63% higher (Figure 2). However, the funding during the first half of 2019 was down 14.93% compared to H2 2018. The median half-yearly funding of $5.01 Bn is arrived at on the basis of data from 2014 to 2019 (H1).
