Annual Indian Startup Trends Report, 2025
2025 marks a reset year for India’s startup funding. Capital deployed eased 8% to $11 Bn, even as the US rebounded sharply (+43%). The divergence is increasingly shaped by AI: in the US, AI startups attracted roughly 35–40% of total funding, while AI accounted for 4.5% of India’s 2025 pool, signalling a slower shift of venture dollars into frontier, IP-led bets. India has still mobilised $169 Bn+ in startup funding since 2014, and the ecosystem is consolidating into higher-conviction outcomes. Investor fundraising rebounded from $8.7 Bn last year to $13.6 Bn this year, supported by a stronger exit cycle: India delivered 31 public exits over the last two years. Looking ahead, confidence has stabilised — 73% of investors report valuations are stable or moderately higher, and over 90% plan to deploy capital in 2026. Read the Annual Indian Startup Trends Report 2025 for a data-led view of what changed, what is holding, and where capital and opportunity are likely to move next.
