Continuing with its category expansion in the country, Amazon India has now launched three new stores on the website including Video games, Music and the luggage.
Video Games store
Amazon.in has launched its dedicated video games store on the portal, with more than 2600 gaming products across gaming consoles & accessories and 2000+ games including – Grand Theft Auto 5, FIFA 14, and the latest gaming console – PlayStation 4. The store showcases console brands such as Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo, as well as Gaming Studios such as Electronic Arts, Rockstar, Ubisoft and more on Amazon.in.
Music store
The Music store has collection of physical music products across both online and offline stores in India, offering more than 400,000 albums from all leading national and international labels. Coinciding with the launch of its music store, Amazon.in has also signed an exclusive deal with Sony DADC, the physical licensee to legendary record label, Warner Music Group, to re-launch the latter’s International music catalogue on its Music store. The Warner Music repertoire is being re-launched in India after a hiatus of eight months and will be exclusively available on Amazon.in till February 12th. Customers will also have a ready access to CDs from the most popular International bands in India including Iron Maiden, Linkin Park, Michael Learns to Rock & Coldplay; to current sensations such as Bruno Mars, David Guetta, Deadmou5 & Skrillex.
Luggage & Bags store
The store has luggage & bags in over 3500 styles from around 50 brands, both Indian and international. Customers can find products such as backpacks, messenger bags, duffels, carry-ons, accessories and even have collection for sports & outdoors available across various sizes and colors. Samsonite, American Tourister, VIP, Skybags, Wenger, Victorinox, Wildcraft, Fastrack, Travel Blue and Rhysetta etc are the few brands available under this category. The store has also added features like Amazon Exclusive Styles, Fashion Trend stores and Frequent Flyer Collection. Customers across several cities in India can also avail guaranteed next-day delivery at Rs. 99 per order on more than 135,000 items fulfilled by Amazon. With the introduction of these three categories, now Amazon has over 18 product categories comprising of over 900,000 products, more than 10 Mn books and over two million eBooks.
