Bangalore-based health startup Zoojoo.be raises $1Mn (INR 6.4 Cr.) from US based VC fund RoundGlass Partners. IIM Bangalore incubated zoojoo.be is building web and mobile based app that use gamification and social collaboration to help users form healthier habit. The investment will primarily be used for product enhancements.
Avinash Saurabh, co-founder and CEO of zoojoo.be said, “Our mission is to measurably and quantifiably improve the wellbeing and happiness level of the workforce. We want to achieve our goal by helping our users create long term positive behavior change by forming great habits.”
Zoojoo.be was co-founded by Avinash Saurabh and Anandraj Koormapolu in 2012. It helps employees foster positive behavior change and strike work life balance by helping them create great habits like eating better, exercising, spending time with family, starting new hobbies etc
The habits are set up as virtual challenges with goal reinforcement through the peer network at work. The company has built cloud and mobile apps to deliver a social and collaborative experience to the users as they undertake their challenges to form habits.
The platform has over 35,000 users across clients like Mindtree, Unisys, GE etc and has operations in India and UAE.
