Venture Factory To Accelerate Seed Stage Startups In Healthcare

Investment firm, Venture Factory has launched VF-Healthcare program, to accelerate seed stage startups working in healthcare domains.

It will be a three-month hands-on program for entrepreneurs to partner with in-house experts, to prove a business case and get seed-funded by Venture Factory.

To facilitate the same, Venture Factory has entered into a partnership with Practo, Cloudnine and Plan India to identify existing problems prevalent in India’s healthcare sector and to select startups that may offer solutions.

The program will include Shashank ND (co-founder of Practo), Deepam Mishra of I2India, Rohit MA (co-founder of Cloudnine Healthcare Facility) and Bhagyashri Dengle (executive director at Plan India) on board as mentors, amongst others.

As a part of the program, Venture Factory is aiming to fund up to 5 startups in the healthcare sector. It will make investments along with follow on funding ranging between $500K To $2 Mn per startup.

The investments are expected to be closed within the next six months, while scouting for entrepreneurs from varied backgrounds.
