Cube26, the makers of gesture technology, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from VC firm Tiger Global Management.
The raised funds are said to be deployed in developing new technologies and expanding its team in over next few months.
Launched in 2012 by Saurav Kumar, Aakash Jain and Abhilekh Agarwal, Cube26 develops technologies that allow mobile devices and TV’s to recognise users, interpret human gestures and understand their emotions.
Cube26 has developed customised Android experience like ‘Blink to Capture’ and ‘Look Away to Pause’ for handset makers which include companies like Intex, Micromax and Karbonn.
Besides, Cube26 is also working with companies like Flipkart, Myntra, Zo Rooms, Panasonic, Fujitsu and Quikr.
The company has deployed its software to more than five million devices to help them understand their users’ needs and reinvent the user experience by revolutionizing device experience across different platforms through innovation.
Saurav Kumar, co-founder and CEO of Cube26, said, “Cube26 has been at the helm of technology innovation since its inception. Mobile hardware is steadily becoming commoditised, and lot of device makers are focusing heavily on software-led user experience and monetisation. We are working to create smarter devices and new opportunities to leverage IoT (Internet of Things) for Indian and global market.”
Cube26 plans to use big data and data analytics to collect anonymous user data using its business intelligence model, and to provide customized services in the mVAS market.
