TAC Security Solutions, a cyber-security solutions provider has raised an undisclosed amount of Pre-Series A funding from Vijay Kedia.
With this development, the investor will also join the company’s Board of Directors as the Non-Executive Independent Director.
Talking about the investment, Vijay Kedia – M.D. at Kedia Securities Pvt. Ltd. commented, “Cyber crime is a bigger threat to business than terrorism. It is estimated that every minute, half a million attack attempts are happening in cyberspace. World is facing an arms race in terms of security. I believe the opportunities available in this space would possibly beat the estimations of $170 billion by 2020 and grow further.”
Founded in 2013 by Trishneet Arora, TAC Security is a friendly hacker that helps corporate giants recognise its weaknesses in the IT systems. Arora is a renowned cyber-security expert and ethical hacker. He has been recognised and felicitated with a State award by the Chief Minister of Punjab.
TAC Security provides a comprehensive picture of the security deficiencies that exist within the IT infrastructure and applications, and the potential impact. TAC informs corporations about their glitches before any damageable cyber attack.
TAC focusses on providing specialised services called Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing. The former helps to discover the security loopholes present in an organisation’s systems but does not exploit the vulnerabilities. The latter is employed to demonstrate how damaging security vulnerabilities could be in a real cyber-attack.
It also provides network, application & web security to corporate giants, the Government, and law enforcement agencies. The company’s latest service – TAC-CERT (Cyber Emergency Response Team) was launched this January by the Industry and Commerce Minister of Punjab.
Currently the startup works with the like of Reliance Industries Limited, Gujarat Police, Punjab Police, International Tractors Limited (Sonalika), AMUL, Avon Cycles, RALSON, and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) among others.
Prior to this, TAC Security had inducted Subinder Khurana, former Vice President Cognizant to its board.
Earlier in July 2016, Lucideus, another startup working in the field of cyber security raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Flipkart CFO, Sanjay Baweja.
