Mumbai-based portal for pre-owned fashion goods, StylFlip, has raised an undisclosed amount in seed round funding from real estate developers Raj Gala Shah and Zaheer Memon, to develop and market its platform.
Founded in 2015 by Zarik Nabi, StylFlip, is a social platform (online marketplace) to sell, shop and flaunt their branded pre-owned fashion apparel, accessories, bags and shoes. Users on StylFlip can also follow other users with similar styles and flaunt images of their own fashion finds.
The app-based platform also allows sellers to upload pictures of item to be sold which is then authenticated and sanitised by StylFlip, before displaying them on the platform.

How To Sell On StylFlip
- User needs to upload pictures of the item they wish to sell, add a description with relevant details such as brand condition, pick-up location and asking price, and StylFlip will list it once verified by their style experts
- Once sold, StylFlip arranges the pick up of the item, sanitises and checks for its authenticity, packs and ships it to the buyer. Sellers receives 100% of their asking price once the buyer successfully accepts the order.
- Every item sold on the platform needs to conform to the StylFlip promise, and will not get the seal of approval should it be counterfeit, damaged, defected, un-hygienic or mis-represented at the time of listing by the seller
- Buyers get a full refund in the event the product fails to adhere to the StylFlip Promise and the seller is banned from selling on the platform.
“The app is seller-centric, making it easy for women to turn into entrepreneurs using their unwanted buys into cash generators to fund their next purchase,” said Zarik Nabi, co-founder of StylFlip.
In the few weeks since StylFlip went online, the brand has already achieved over 1700 app downloads and 500 product listings. The brand foresees an exponential increase in downloads and listings in the coming weeks, owing to its unique business model, benefits to the seller community, and a series of marketing led initiatives.
