Integrated mobile services provider, Mogae Media has acquired personalised video platform Ao1 in an all-stock deal.
As per the terms of the transaction, Ashish Dabral, founder Ao1, will join Mogae Media as Executive Director and will work towards the development and deployment of the platform.
Founded by Ashish Dabral in 2015, Ao1 functions as a cross-sell engine that drives customer loyalty programmes. It works to enhance CRM of banks, insurance companies, telecom operators, retail, airlines, hotels, ecommerce websites etc.
Commenting on the development, Ashish said, “Today only 10% of 3G customers of all the leading telecos have upgraded to 4G. The teleco already knows the customer, knows his consumption pattern and can easily use good personalised communication to persuade the customer to switch to a higher level 4G offering. With Ao1 you can address the communication to the customer by name, can graphically depict usage pattern and interestingly show available options and product plusses. You can also personalise a special offer just for that user.”
Cloud-enabled Ao1 platform essentially connects itself with the client’s database. It enables video-sharing to the desired customers, by sending them the links via email or text messages. The platform will go commercially live in November 2016.
Sandeep Goyal launched Mogae Media in 2012 along with his wife Tanya Goyal. It is a provider of integrated mobile marketing services, offering a range of mobile branding solutions. The company has partnered with established brands like Kellogg’s India, Urban Clap, Star TV, Hero, TATA Motors, Yes Bank, Axis Bank, Kansai Nerolac, Discovery Channel, DSP Black Rock, and Max Life Insurance, etc.
Sandeep Goyal, Chairman, Mogae Media said, “This is a wonderful technology that combines technology with creativity. It is like producing a TV commercial for just one person as the audience. Worldwide, the trend is towards more and more video content consumption. With Ao1 we can personalise that content. So messaging to high-value customers can be individualised, and personalised such that the recipient feels special, and more positively disposed towards both the brand and its communication.”
Mogae Media has previously worked with Idomoo, the Israel-based video personalisation platform, according to an official statement.
Earlier in May this year, Mogae Media, raised approx $15 Mn (INR 100 Cr) funding, which was to be deployed towards the acquisition of digital startups. In September 2016, digital content service provider YAAP acquired Brand Planet Consultants for $3 Mn (INR 20 Cr) in an all-cash deal.
