Flipkart’s Chief Technology Officer Amod Malviya has moved to an advisory role while the engineering head, Sameer Nigam quits the company.
Mukesh Bansal said in a mail to the employees, “Amod Malvya,Chief Technology Officer at Flipkart and Sameer Nigam, Senior Vice President of Engineering are leaving the company.”He added, Amod Malviya is moving to an advisory role in the company and Sameer is planning to start his own venture in the technology space.
Amod Nigam joined Flipkart in 2011 following the acquisition of Mime360, a digital distribution platform that he founded. In November 2014, Flipkart had been shuffling its top deck, giving over the responsibilities of running the e-commerce business to Mukesh Bansal while the Co-founders Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal moved on to focus on other areas of the business.
Ensue the reshuffle, the company roped in Punit Soni, former VP of Product Management at Motorola as Flipkart’s Chief Product Officer and ex-Google engineering Director Peeyush Ranjan as SVP/Head of Engineering.
