Flipkart Launches Grocery Delivery App – Flipkart Nearby

With grocery delivery making high tides in the startup ecosystem, Flipkart has also entered this space with launch of Flipkart Nearby. Presently, the app caters to only a few areas of Bangalore, namely Koramangala, HSR Layout, BTM Layout, Ejipura, Jayanagar, JP Nagar, and Bellandur.

Flipkart Nearby is not just another grocery shopping app, it also offers a plethora of personal care products, health and wellness products, baby care products, and household supplies.

From fresh milk, bread, chips, chocolates and biscuits they go a long way into the food essentials like fenugreek seeds, all kinds of dal, jeera, elaichi, and chilli powder. It also has a lineups of healthy snacks, energy drinks, and yogurt, and even the packaged mineral water for gym goers. It will also deliver hot beverages and ready-to-eat parottas.

App will take orders on all days of the week from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Also, shipping is free for a limited period of time.

Paytm had also launched a similar app but they pulled down the beta version from Google Play Store in sometime. Ola has also forayed into hyperlocal delivery with the launch of Ola Store. Other established players in this segment are – Zopnow, Bigbasket, Grofers, Localbanya and PepperTap.
