Hyderabad-based Abhibus, a bus ticketing portal has launched its own wallet service named ‘Abhicash’.
Founded in 2007 by Sudhakar Reddy Chirra, Abhibus, provides end-to-end software and services to fleet owners both government and private operators across India. Currently, the startup caters to 250 private operators and 3 State Road Transport corporations which include Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
Abhicash will provide an easy, fast and practical way to manage cashbacks, cancellations and booking refunds with Abhibus. All cashbacks and discounts are credited to the travellers Abhicash account and can be used in any future transaction with unlimited validity.
Users cannot deposit money directly into their Abhicash account. However, they can transfer Abhicash from one registered user to another abhicash user.
Rewards, refunds and offers are instantly credited to the Abhicash account. Also, in case of a failed transaction, the money will be transferred directly to the wallet by default.
The software solutions provided by Abhibus include online passenger reservation system, eticketing system, fleet management solutions, vehicle tracking systems, passenger information systems and logistics management which is backed by a 24×7 customer support centre.
The current market size of online bus ticketing is over INR 500-600 Cr. which is just 3-4% of the INR 15000 Cr. market. Mticketing is a new feature added by a few players to provide users with a more comfortable level and experience of booking bus tickets using their mobile phones. Few players operating in this space include YatraGenie, Redbus, Travelyaari, Ticketvala and TicketGoose.
