The event is expected to be attended by industry names including Manish Dugar, Rajiv Khaitan, Surinder Chawla, Neeraj Gupta, Pavan Kachibhatla, Anubhav Sharma, Ganesh Balkrishnan, and Vidhya Shankar. The contest will be judged by Directors of 1Crowd including Anup Kuruvilla, Anil Gudibande, Parthasarathi Patnaik, and Amit Ratanpal.
The competition will offer startups an opportunity to engage with The Big Pitch’s partners in the field of fundraising, legal, banking, and finance.
The winners of the event will be eligible to receive funding from business incubators and event partners, including Christ University, Grant Thornton, Khaitan & Co. and NPCI. They will also be granted access to capital and expert advice for networking and communications.
As per an official statement, winners of the competition will receive benefits like preferred pricing on all RBL Bank products and services, including API set-up charges, one-week passes for BHIVE Workspace in Bengaluru, free legal advice to the extent of 15 hours, assistance in receiving funding from potential investors, consultation sessions with experts in the field of corporate finance, tax and regulatory, financial reporting, and valuation; and individual tax planning inputs for promoters, among others.
The winners will also receive an opportunity to be considered on priority for listing on 1Crowd’s equity crowdfunding platform to raise funding up to $293K (INR 2 Cr).
Earlier in April 2016, RBL launched an exclusive branch for startups in Bengaluru. Prior to that, it had launched “India StartUp Club,” an initiative to support early stage companies providing a large number of banking services.
