Mobile wallet company MobiKwik has opened up access to its patent-pending Power Wallet interface to all retailers.
The company said that its Power Wallet API has been integrated by its retail partners such as OYO Rooms, PVR Cinemas, Zomato, Meru Cabs, Big Bazaar, WHSmith India, Archies and IRCTC.
Apart from these, the company is now in talks with other retailers to integrate the new payment technology on their platforms.
Once integrated, users will not be redirected MobiKwik while making payments on retailer’s web/app, as the integration will allow users to make the payment from within the retailer’s platform.
Speaking on the development, Bipin Preet Singh, founder & CEO at MobiKwik said, “Our latest innovation, Power Wallet, gives retailers a platform that delivers near-100% success rate in processing payments. The scalable interface is easy to integrate across multiple retailer platforms and is an ideal solution for merchants looking for a quick-to-deploy, omni-channel digital payment mechanism.”
Started in 2009 by Bipin and Upasana Taku, MobiKwik, is a wallet that enables users to pay in a flash for their mobile recharge and bill payments. It has partnered with over 50,000 businesses like Café Coffee Day, PVR, Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, TastyKhana, JustEat, eBay, Jabong, Snapdeal, ShopClues, HomeShop18 among others.
In April last year, the company had raised $25 Mn in Series B funding led by Tree Line Asia, existing investor Sequoia Capital along with Cisco Investments and American Express and later in December, it raised additional funding of $6.5 Mn.
