The Indian startup ecosystem’s growth trajectory is a testament to the country’s preparedness to embrace tech innovation in all spheres of life. India has joined the leagues of top-rung players such as the US and China and is currently home to the world’s third-largest startup ecosystem.

Metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad are leading the techade, emerging as the country’s top startup hubs. It is Bengaluru, however, that takes the crown. According to an Inc42 report, the city accounts for 40 unicorns, 44 soonicorns, and more than 4K registered startups. In fact, decacorns (startups with a valuation above $10 Bn) such as BYJU’S, Swiggy and Flipkart, all find their genesis in Bengaluru.

The Karnataka government has proactively encouraged innovation by creating a flourishing business environment, investing in human capital, and much more.

Since 1998, the Karnataka government has been holding the Bengaluru Tech Summit (previously known as Bangalore IT.com) to encourage and celebrate entrepreneurship in the state and offer a forum for discussion to established businesses, budding entrepreneurs, researchers, and other stakeholders in the startup ecosystem.

After a gap of two years (the last two editions of the summit were held virtually), Bengaluru Tech Summit (BTS) will be back in physical format and promises to be Asia’s largest tech event.

Organised by the state’s Department of Electronics, IT, Biotechnology and Science & Technology and co-hosted by the Software Technology Park of India (STPI), the three-day event will be held between November 16-18, 2022 at Bangalore Palace, Bengaluru.

2022 also marks the silver jubilee edition of BTS, which will bring together global technology leaders, founders and technology heads, prominent government officials, academia, and other industry stalwarts under the same roof.

BTS 2022 will offer startups across stages a platform to share their vision for the future and display disruptive technologies in deeptech, biotech and other future-defining sectors.
