The SHIFT 2016 has revealed the program of the event. It includes round tables, workshops, panel discussions, keynote speeches and skill sessions that all are based on how technology revolutionizes the main spheres of our lives.
Keynote speakers include such personalities as Ravi Belani, lecturer of Entrepreneurship at Stanford University and the founder of Alchemist Accelerator; Kristoffer Lawson, co-founder of Solu and inventor of the world’s smallest computer; and Mika Anttonen, CEO and founder of the energy company St1. The veteran of virtual reality and co-founder of Solfar Thor Gunnarson, Umbilical Design founder Cecilia Herts, Virunga Allianс co-founder Jussi Westergren are among these who are giving keynote speeches. Among the invited investors, there are Oak Venture’s Mika Marjalaakso and Petri Lehmuskoski, one of the most influential people in his field in Finland.
Throughout the two-days festival, there is going to be held the pitching competition for start-ups. The pitching is aimed at the public, and the festival attendees are the judges. The contest winner gets 10,000 euros as a prize. In total, more than 30 startup teams are attending the festival.

The SHIFT is a new international business festival in Finland started by a non-profit organization. It focuses on how technology changes the fields of health, learning, and energy. The event creates a platform for sharing knowledge between the public sector, corporations and startups.
