An opportunity to have your idea recognised
The Quantium Start-up Event is a new venture support initiative, looking to attract and potentially partner with Australia’s best innovators and entrepreneurs. Quantium is offering support in a range of tangible ways, ultimately with the potential to collaborate in idea development and commercialisation.
This is a rare opportunity for innovators and early stage companies to enlist the support of Quantium and engage with some of Quantium’s highly experienced network of leading entrepreneurs, industry executives, partners and key clients from across the data, analytics, digital and technology landscapes.
Quantium India will host this event in Hyderabad. The finalists will get an opportunity to travel to Sydney and pitch their idea at the finale in front of a judging panel that includes senior executives from some of Australia’s most respected brands:

Quantium Start-up – what we are looking for
The judging panel is looking to find and collaborate with a wide variety of innovators, entrepreneurs and early stage companies from different backgrounds and across different fields. Examples of areas of innovation sought from applicants are listed below (but in true innovative style are not limited to…):
- New technologies
- Artificial intelligence
- Media channels and applications
- Customer management techniques
- Online and multi-channel optimisation
- New data sources
- Consumer applications
- Business to business initiatives
- New analytics software and methodologies
Why participate in the Indian leg of Quantium Startup Event
The Indian leg of the event is aimed at providing opportunities for Indian innovators to showcase ideas and innovations to Quantium and its prestigious partner base in Australia. The finalists of the Indian leg of the Quantium start-up event will compete in the final round with finalists from Australia. Progressing in the Start-up initiative will offer the opportunity to collaborate, network and be mentored by key Quantium executives and many of Australia’s business leaders.
The winner will also receive the ‘Quantium Prize for Commercial Innovation’ and a cheque for $5,000. Additionally, the winner and runner up will be offered a minimum of six additional advisory sessions with a senior Quantium mentor in Australia.
Quantium and its partners may decide to continue discussions with any candidates ranging from mentoring advice to potentially investing in their business idea.
The Startup Event – how it works
Once applications have closed, all submitted applications will be reviewed by Quantium’s Start-up Event executive committee, and a selection of applicants will be invited to present their idea to judging panel in Hyderabad.
Those who make the final shortlist in India will be coached for a week in Hyderabad and flown to Sydney for the final round of presentations. The final shortlisted candidates in Sydney will be mentored for two weeks by members of the executive committee in Sydney. They will then get an opportunity to pitch their idea to the Awards Committee on Monday 1 June 2015.
Details on how the event will run will be sent to the shortlisted applicants prior to each event.
