Impact Chapter : Startup Challenge
National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) is hosting the Indian chapter of the ‘Get in the Ring’ challenge – Impact Chapter: Startup Challenge in Hyderabad. The international event which targets startups in India and abroad will be co-hosted by DHI Labs, a Start-up Incubator venture. GITR is a unique startup pitching model mimicking a boxing match which assesses the potential of a startup in quick five 30-second back to back duels between two competitors standing in a ring.
There will be five rounds, ending in a Q&A and a vote for the winner by the Champion judges and the audience. The Hyderabad Impact Chapter is expecting over 300+ startups and a total of 1,000+ delegates from 80+ countries – including Mentors, Investors, Entrepreneurs from around the world who are willing to invest heavily in the Indian startup ecosystem.
Mr. Rajat Tandon, Vice President, NASSCOM 10 K start-up program, said “Our aim is to provide an ideal platform for young entrepreneurs giving them extended exposure to the international investor community and also helping them understand trends and development from across the globe. GITR is a great platform that offers experienced guidance along the seasoned mentoring to budding entrepreneurs. The objective of this partnership is to bring the global investor community to India, introducing them to the Indian talent and thereby creating an inflow of investments into the country.”
Speaking on the partnership with NASSCOM, Jochem Cuppen, global director of Get in the Ring (GITR) commented, “In the last two years, India has emerged as the new hotbed for startups and talent worldwide. We were amazed to receive great participation from these young entrepreneurs last time at the NASSCOM’s Product Conclave held in Bengaluru. This time round, we hope the participation is doubled. NASSCOM 10k is doing great work in encouraging the local talent providing them a chance to represent the country on a global platform. With $100 million funding available in the event, the event will be attended by people from across countries.
