Building Intelligent Logistics Platform
India currently spends close to 12-14% of GDP on Logistics, with less than 3-4% being organized logistics, as compared to the USA, with close to 34% share being of the organized logistics. Interestingly in India, 57% of the goods by volume are transported by Roads. Thus, India depends on the costliest mode of travel (road) for the majority of its domestic freight transfers making it even more inefficient.
Post GST rollout, companies will start designing their logistics and supply chain networks based on operational efficiency, rather than on tax structures. Locus is building an intelligent logistics platform for companies. Nishith Rastogi, Co-Founder, Locus will share his experience and perspective on building such a company out of India in an interactive session.
