Zeno Health Launches 50-Minute Medicine Delivery

Days after raising $25 Mn in its Series C funding round, healthtech startup Zeno Health (erstwhile Generico) has rolled out a 50-minute medicine delivery service in Mumbai.

Zeno Health runs more than 180 retail pharmacy stores across Maharashtra. With the integration of these retail stores and its tech-driven logistics, the startup aims to deliver prescription-based medicines across the region.

In a statement, it said that the customers can place orders via its mobile app, in-store and over the phone with no minimum order value. Besides, there would be no delivery fee for the quick medicine delivery service.

“At Zeno Health, we are ensuring real-time stock availability and rapid dispatch to eliminate delays that impact patient care. Our 50-minute delivery service is not just about speed—it’s about building a patient-first healthcare ecosystem that enhances affordability, trust, and access at scale,” said Zeno Health cofounder Girish Agarwal.

Founded by IIT Bombay alumni Agarwal and Siddharth Gadia in 2017, Zeno health is an omnichannel pharmacy network which sells generic medicines. It claims to offer medicines at 60% lower cost due to its direct sourcing from manufacturers.

Besides retail pharmacy stores, it has 200 micro-franchises across Maharashtra and West Bengal. It claims to have served more than 1.5 Mn customers till date.

Zeno Health also has a private label brand GoodAid which sells generic medicines.

During its latest fundraise, the startup said it would use the capital to expand its footprint and enhance its tech stack. Overall, it has raised over $56 Mn equity and debt till date from the likes of South Korean PE firm STIC Investments and Lightbox.

Zeno Health competes with online pharmacy platforms such as Tata 1mg, Reliance-owned Netmeds, PharmEasy, and Flipkart Health+, as well as offline pharmacies.

Its entry into the 50-minute medicine delivery segment comes at a time when a number of platforms are looking at this sector as the next big opportunity in the quick commerce space.

For instance, recently founded Plazza is aiming to provide medicine deliveries in 15-17 minutes in Bengaluru. Besides, quick commerce giants like Flipkart Minutes and Swiggy Instamart have also entered the space.
