Listed online travel aggregator (OTA) Yatra has elevated cofounder and CEO Dhruv Shringi to the role of executive chairman and appointed Siddhartha Gupta as the CEO.

In his new role, Shringi will work closely with the board and the leadership team with a “sharp focus on global expansion, innovation, and shareholder value creation”, the company said in a statement.

Shringi has been serving as the CEO of the travel tech company since it was set up in 2006. “It has been a privilege to lead Yatra since its inception and to see it evolve into one of India’s most trusted and innovative travel brands, serving both corporate and consumer segments…” Shringi said in the statement.

Gupta will  take over as the new CEO from today. He was working with global people advisory firm Mercer India as a president after he was promoted from being the chief executive of Mercer Mettl, the talent assessment arm of the company.

According to Gupta’s LinkedIn profile, he carries close to 25 years of professional experience in the enterprise tech and SaaS space. He has also worked with brands like Hewlett Packard and SAP.

“Siddhartha’s depth of experience in enterprise sales and SaaS aligns perfectly with Yatra’s B2B-first strategy,” Shringi said.

Founded by Shringi, Sabina Chopra and Manish Amin, Yatra allows users to book air tickets and hotels online. It claims to be the largest corporate travel services  provider catering to 1,300 large corporate and 59,000 small and medium size enterprises.

On the financial front, Yatra’s consolidated net profit surged 101% to INR 14.3 Cr in the second quarter of FY26 from INR 7.3 Cr a year ago, while its operating revenue zoomed 48% to INR 350.9 Cr.

The company generates a major chunk of its revenue from its hotels and tour package bookings, the air ticketing business and its B2B business MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions).

At 11:41 AM, the Yatra shares were trading 7.34% lower at INR 161.4 apiece on the BSE. The scrip shed nearly 7.5% to INR 160.9 intraday today.
