In the already crowded online discount coupons space, another website, Couponmachine.in has raised $140K from UK based Angel Investors against a stake of 11.5%. The company plans to use the first investment received for content creation and marketing.
Vizag-based Coupon Machine, an online discount coupons website, offers variety of coupons and promotional deals which are valid in most of ECommerce websites like Jabong, Flipkart, Makemytrip, Shopclues, Myntra, ZOVI, Pepperfry, Amazon . The website is updated daily, renewed and checked by the professionals in order to help users save time and money.
According to Abdul Sattar, CEO of Couponmachine.in, “We agree that there are good number of online coupons and deals sites but we come up with updated deals and coupons every day. We update the site every hour. On an average we update about 200 articles every day which contains coupons and deals. Also we are implementing out of box promotional strategies rather than traditional SEO on our website to stand out from the competition.”
Last October, Mumbai based Priceburp Media Pvt. Ltd., which owns Coupons and online deals portal PriceBurp.com, raised over $100K in a funding round led by Bright Ventures B.V, a Netherlands based early stage investment company.
Prior to that, in June last year, Hyderabad based, online coupon marketplace Shoppirate.in raised a seed fund investment of INR 50 Lakh from India-based financing firm Confidance Holding Pvt. Ltd.
Also, in May 2014, Times Internet acquired Mumbai based coupon service CouponDunia for an undisclosed amount.
