Viridian Group & IL&FS Urban Infrastructure, are deeply committed to the development of entrepreneurship in the country and have announced a nationwide Business Plan contest. The contest will honor best business plan with upto INR 1 Cr. equity partnership and other prizes for participants. The winning participants would also be eligible to receive transformational support from GIFT City & WTC Gift, Gujarat subject to certain terms and conditions.
The contest is being inaugurated at Vibrant Gujarat from January 11, 2015 to January 13, 2015. Presentations or pitches made on the venue are eligible for On The Spot cash awards. The contest shall continue for about a month and culminate in a final round. This contest is keen to promote entrepreneurship at Grass root level and Women entrepreneurs.
To promote the same, entries in these categories are eligible to be considered for exclusive awards. This platform is for any individual, with an idea and a passion to be entrepreneurs with no distinction of socio-economic background. The business plans will be considered on the basis of robustness of the idea & Passion for entrepreneurship.
Vijay Raghavan, CEO, Viridian Ventures, said, “The contest is designed to encourage entrepreneurs in seed, startup and early growth stages of business. The objective is to develop entrepreneurship, leveraging a wide network of resources, high-quality mentorship, management grooming and potential investor network. The contest shall leverage startups with valuable public and media exposure.”
Startups can submit their business ideas through online registration at big-bplan.com. On the spot participation is available from Jan 11-13 at the Viridian Group stall at the summit. Participants can present a 10 min pitch to the panel and be eligible for On the Spot Prizes. Qualifiers in this round are eligible for the subsequent rounds.
The idea along with a business plan needs to be submitted. After review, a presentation date will be announced wherein all selected participants will present their plans in a structured 20 minute format.
