Uniphore Buys ActionIQ, Infoworks To Expand Its AI Capabilities

Conversational automation unicorn Uniphore has announced acquisition of two data startups ActionIQ and Infoworks as a part of its effort to expand AI-powered offerings.

These strategic acquisitions extend Uniphore’s comprehensive end-to-end enterprise AI platform and will deliver the industry’s first zero data AI cloud, the company said in a statement.

A zero data AI cloud helps enterprises overcome the main barriers to AI adoption, such as data access, accuracy, flexibility, and data sovereignty. It removes data bottlenecks, delivering powerful AI capabilities while preserving customers’ existing data landscape and avoiding complex integration challenges.

By bringing Uniphore, ActionIQ and Infoworks together, enterprise customers will have access to an entire suite of AI capabilities that empowers organisations to move beyond proof-of-concept AI trials into full scale implementation, accelerating their digital transformation, the statement added.

Founded by Umesh Sachdev and Ravi Saraogi in 2008, Uniphore combines conversational AI, workflow automation, and RPA (Robotic Process Automation) in a single integrated platform to transform and democratise customer experiences across industries.

“With the acquisitions of ActionIQ and Infoworks, Uniphore is enabling a zero data AI cloud for the world’s largest companies, equipping them with the tools to fast-track AI deployments and drive measurable business outcomes,” said Sachdev.

On the financial front, Uniphore’s net profit jumped over 4X in the financial year ended March 31, 2023. The company reported a profit of INR 142.7 Cr in FY23, a 327% increase over INR 33.4 Cr in FY22.

India’s startup ecosystem is now home to more than 200 GenAI startups, with a strong focus on enterprise solutions, as per Inc42’s report. Almost 70% of these GenAI ventures are B2B focussed.

In 2024 alone, several new-age tech startups, including the likes of Highperformr.AI, Ayna, Gnani.ai, Clodura.AI and Vitra.ai, raised funding from investors such as Inflexor Ventures, Info Edge, Venture Highway, and Bharat Innovation Fund.
