Kunal Bahl and Rohit Kumar Bansal, the promoters and directors of Unicommerce, have increased their stakes in the listed SaaS company by acquiring 93,500 additional shares from the open market.

In an exchange filing yesterday (March 11), Unicommerce said that Bahl acquired 46,500 shares of the company for INR 49.47 Lakh and Bansal bought 47,000 shares for INR 49.48 Lakh.

Bahl and Bansal already hold 10.75% stake in Unicommerce via their partnership firm B2 Capital Partners. Following the acquisition, their combined stake in the company has increased to 10.85%.

Besides the promoters, Unicommerce director Bharat Venishetti also bought 1,000 shares of the company from the open market on March 4.

Founded by Karun Singla, Ankit Pruthi and Vibhu Garg in 2012, Unicommerce was acquired by Snapdeal in 2015. It is an ecommerce enablement SaaS platform which allows sellers to manage their ecommerce operations across pre-purchase and post-purchase segments. Its solution suite includes marketing automation, streamlining operations and logistic services to reduce shipment costs.

Unicommerce went public in August last year, with its shares listing at a premium of 117.59% over its issue price of INR 108 on the NSE. However, the company’s shares have been under pressure amid the ongoing correction in the Indian stock market and have slid below the IPO price.

On the business front, Unicommerce acquired a 42.7% stake in ecommerce shipping solutions provider Shipway for INR 68.4 Cr in November 2024.

The company posted a 62% increase in its consolidated net profit to INR 6.29 Cr in the quarter ended December 2024 (Q3 FY25) from INR 3.88 Cr in the year-ago quarter. Its revenue from contract with customers surged 26% to INR 32.74 Cr during the quarter under review from INR 25.96 Cr in Q3 FY24.

Shares of Unicommerce were trading 0.80% lower at INR 105.30 on the BSE at 1:32 PM today.
