Testing automation startup Drizz has secured $2.7 Mn (around INR 23.4 Cr) in a seed funding round led by Stellaris Venture Partners.

The round also saw participation from Shastra VC, with angel investors such as former chief business officer at Cleartrip Anuj Rathi and Better Capital founder and chief executive Vaibhav Domkundwar.

With the freshly raised capital, Drizz p[ans to advance its Vision AI engine, expand its engineering team and strengthen research capabilities, the company said in a statement.

Founded in December 2024 by former Meesho and Coinbase employee Asad Abrar, Amazon engineer Yash Varyani along with Partha Mohanty, Drizz is a testing startup that helps developers and QA teams to write, run, and maintain end-to-end test coverage using simple English prompts.

“We’ve tried to provide more end-to-end testing solutions with other aspects such as APIs as well, UI, and then there are other aspects, which gives a high amount of test coverage to our users,” Abrar told Inc42.

On the revenue model, Mohanty said, “We adopt a pay-per-outcome model, where you do “n” number of tests on our platform using the AI software that we have built, you pay us on the basis of how many tests you execute. This is the model of the new AI edge.”

The development comes at a time when a wave of startups have been deploying artificial intelligence to eliminate lengthier manual processes to shrink the time consumed and the accuracy of operations. Investors are thus encouraged to make their bets in companies that offer AI-powered services.

A few days back, Mumbai-based GenAI-powered platform for speech and text analytics GreyLabs AI raised $10 Mn.

So far in July, startups such as Trupeer.AI, B2B agentic AI marketing venture Grexa AI, AI-powered analytics platform Gobblecube, among others have secured funding from investors to boost their AI capabilities.

According to Inc42’s half-yearly investor survey, early and growth stage investors are most bullish on AI startups, which are likely to attract significant capital in H2 2025.

The AI startup ecosystem in the country has been growing exponentially, with over $1.5 Bn raised by native startups between 2022 and Q1 2025, as per GenAI, AI Agents & The Future Of Startups, Report 2025, where India’s AI market is expected to surpass over $17 Bn by 2030.
